Moonbear Kung Fu Academy and Canberra Dragon Dance was the winner of the ACT Multicultural Award for Multicultural Arts, Media or Culture in 2025. It was established in 2004 by Dr Wilson Lo for the fostering and tuition of Chinese martial arts to kids and teens. It has since expanded to include Filipino martial arts, an adults program via UC Stars Kung Fu and incorporated it's performance arm, Canberra Dragon Dance. Performances are in Chinese lion and dragon dance, percussion and martial arts across Canberra and surrounding areas. Students are taught a practical self defence system based on traditional martial arts but with modern training methods and are also taught the performing arts.
